Globally Biotech Industry is booming with one of the highest growth rate. With more than 50,000 companies established in past 5 years only, the sector is thus proving as one of the highest employment generation sector worldwide. Beside U.S.A, which is the undisputed leader, countries like Canada, France and China are investing a lot and are relying on the sector for its future growth and employment generation capacity.
In India conditions are not that favorable as we seriously lack skilled and focused manpower. Also, in past few years in-spite of Government efforts, we largely failed to generate enough entrepreneurship skills among the youth to promote Industry. Students mainly lack the basic understanding on biotech instrumentation and its handling, thus making them unaware and noncompetitive in the real scientific world.
